A week after supporting our former pupils in the Ulster final, Saint John’s girls made their own contribution to our proud Gaelic tradition.
The final stages of the City Indoor 5 Aside competition took place at the Foyle Arena. The standard was extremely high and our girls battled their way through a particularly tough draw to defeat a valiant Holy Child side in the final.
This success is a direct result of the hard work and commitment that these girls have shown throughout the year. They are a credit to their coaches Mr Mullan, Mrs Lyons and Alan Nash.
Most importantly, the girls were beacons for the qualities we promote in our school. Teamwork, honest endeavour and sportsmanship. Even at the final whistle, they were noticeably humble and respectful.
