Information Regarding Transfer to Post Primary Schools for Year 7 Children

The application for post primary schools in our Education Authority area will open in early February 2021. The application process this year is completed wholly online at https://www.eani.org.uk/. The system is not available to parents as of yet but we will advise you on the opening date.

We have the following advice for our Year 7 pupils and their parents.

Visit all the school websites, watch the virtual open days, read the school prospectus with your child and have a really good think about the post primary school that best suits you and your child. Parents you will need to put that school down first. Make sure you have a good read through the criteria for each school.  The criteria for each school will be published on their websites over the coming days/weeks (If not already there) and also inside the school prospectus.

There will be no face to face Post Primary Transfer meetings with Mrs O’Connor this year due to the COVID situation. However, St John’s will try to support the Year 7 parents as best we can.
