On Tuesday, a number of our girls’ Gaelic squad travelled to Cookstown to support Saint Cecilia’s in the U16 Ulster Final. 15 of the Saint Cecilia’s team (plus assistant coach Kayleigh) are all former pupils of our school and all 15 girls first honed their skills here at Saint John’s. In a pulsating final against Saint Patricks, Banbridge, Saint Cecilia’s were just edged out in the final minutes. Our own Gaelic girls were highly impressed by their performances and hope someday to follow in their footsteps.
